Problem
From overlooked nuances in opportunity zone (OZ) development and community outcomes, the challenge was clear—bridge the gap between aesthetics and functionality to create a meaningful story about where opportunity zones are hurting and helping inner-city communities in Baltimore, MD.
Solution
Using GIS and social justice analysis, I developed "The Land of OZ"—a data-driven narrative that transforms complex data into intuitive visualizations, showcasing the real impact of Opportunity Zones on inner-city communities.
